After staying at RheinAhrCampus I really just want more!

Simas from Lithuania, Summer Semester 2014

Before coming to Germany for my exchange semester I had no idea what to expect from it. I had little idea what living and studying in Germany would be like and in turn felt quite scared because of it. All my worries soon were extinguished once I actually arrived and got to know all the nice people at Remagen who were all prepared to help me settle in and get me ready for the next semester in RheinAhrCampus.

The living conditions in the dormitories provided were excellent, I was really surprised by how much we were provided with when living there, while also being so conveniently located right next to the campus itself which meant more time to sleep before classes in the morning! I greatly appreciate all the help I received from other students living in the dormitory as well. They helped with day to day things like operating the washing machine and etc.

The classes were a unique and very valuable experience for me. I loved all the focus on the practical side of things, rather than just going through the theory, which helped me broaden my understanding of many different subjects. The lecturers were all really engaging and dedicated, putting things in new perspectives while giving us ample chances to express our own ideas and views on those topics as well. I also had classes with a visiting lecturer from USA, who, again, came with a third perspective of things and really opened my eyes to how different views on teaching are in other parts of the world.

I wholeheartedly think that the decision to come here was the most important decision of my university life so far and the things I've seen and learned here are absolutely invaluable. I came to value the opportunities given to me more than I did before, and my only regret is that I didn't do it earlier. Living in a different country also helped me become more mature and more understanding of different cultures and, most importantly, it gave me a new-found hunger for traveling somewhere again, because after staying in Germany I really just want more

Mit freundlichen Grüßen
