Library

Our campus library provides up-to-date academic literature related to our degree programmes. Currently, the library holds about 58,000 books, magazines CD-ROMs etc and subscribes to 190 periodicals. In addition, a wealth of information services is available to users. The library is still growing rapidly - thus ensuring that the resources available reflect recent research in the subject areas covered.

With its many reading and study areas as well as networked computers it creates an environment where independent and supplementary learning outside the lecture rooms and labs is encouraged.

Students with a valid student ID are welcome to borrow library books for a four-week period. Extensions are possible (through OPAC or by sending an email to the library team) unless the books are recalled by other users who need access to them. Books marked with a red or a blue dot cannot be taken out as they are part of the reserved section. Please note that all books have to be returned to the borrowing desk.

OPAC, the Online Public Access Catalogue, lists all the books and magazines available in the library. Students are also welcome to use the literature search databases available. Inter-library loans are processed at a small fee.

eBooks

eBooks, especially German Springer eBooks, can also be found in the OPAC.

eJournals

Scholarly journals to which the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences has purchased electronic access or which are freely available on the Internet are listed in the Electronic Journals Library (EZB). For more information consult the library homepage.

DigiBib

Via the uniform interface of the digital library (DigiBib) you can search in various library catalogues and bibliographic databases.

Databases:

For further literature research various general and subject-related databases are available. They are listed in DBIS (Database Information System) according to subject.

The use of most other library services is provided free of charge. Please consult our User Information Flyer for additional information.
