The first International Café at RheinAhrCampus for Refugees and their friends was organized by Dr. Laurent Borgmann with a student project group (“Hand in Hand”) on 8 December 2015. The main idea was to share information about existing activities for refugees on campus and in the city and brainstorm ideas about how to develop the International Café in the future in order to meet the expectations of refugees and voluntary workers.  mehr

Ramadan

During the Month of Ramadan we celebrated two big events with refugees including a very International Iftar. About 60 people from many nations came together to cook, eat, chat, and play games” on 13th and 27th June 2016. Exchange students from Spain, Morocco, Jordan, and Azerbaijan prepared various meals from their home countries, with many of the refugees lending a helping hand. mehr

RheinAhrCampus, Remagen has also integrated Refugees in the Classrooms. Dr. Laurent Borgmann teaches “International Business Simulations”, “Managing Cultural Diversity” and “Intercultural Communication” courses aimed at international students and German students who want to internationalize themselves.  mehr
