RAC Lecturers Abroad

International opportunities for RAC lecturers

Welcome to the staff mobility section of our home page. The services we offer to RheinAhrCampus staff include

  • language training for the preparation of international activities in various formats
  • advice on external language courses (e.g. the courses offered by iDA-Akademie, the International DAAD Academy)
  • support for teaching staff mobility (short-term and long term-projects)
  • information on funding for your international projects and initiatives
  • information on current and upcoming Calls for Proposals (and the corresponding deadlines)
  • materials required for student advice and support (including flyers, slides for information sessions, background information)

If you are interested in going abroad and visiting one of our partner universities, please contact our team. There are numerous resources for financial support. As a result, many RAC lecturers have participated in teaching staff exchange - and they are always willing to share their experience and support your preparations!

Teaching staff mobility - financial support

Funding for TSM is available from a variety of institutions. Thus, you should definitely learn about:

1. ERASMUS+

The administrative information about funding for teaching staff visits to European partner universities is available at our ERASMUS+ website.

However, the most important step is to establish a direct contact to the department/faculty you intend to visit. Researching our partner universities and the online experience reports may provide you with some first ideas on how your own research and teaching interests might tie in with the curricula and projects of our partner institutions. Please contact Barbara Neukirchen for further information.

2. German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)

The German Academic Exchange Service offers a great variety of funding options. These include preparatory visits (intended to prepare future project applications), research grants, visiting professorships and others. Please use the DAAD scholarship database to find the programmes which best match your current status and interests! Using the filters for target country, individual background and project type will help you to get a quick overview. You may also contact the regional offices of the German Academic Exchange Service in order to identify the best way to move your project idea forward.
