Laser & Optical Technologies are one of the few key technologies in which Germany is a global player in research and development as well as in the implementation of these results into innovative products. In many research fields of optical technologies, high-tech companies have developed into global market leaders. In Rhineland-Palatinate some of them are located near us in Mülheim-Kärlich, Koblenz, Kaiserslautern or Bad Kreuznach.
Optical technologies are among the key technologies and innovation drivers of the 21st century. With an estimated global turnover of 155 billion euros in 2021 - 25 billion euros of which in Germany alone - and an estimated average annual growth rate of over 10%, the growth potential of this key technology is far from exhausted.
We prepare you for this interesting, diverse and international job market with excellent career opportunities in our Master's degree course in Applied Physics with a focus on Laser Technology and Optical Technologies - as our graduates confirm time and again.
