Study Sports Management at the Remagen Campus
The study programme in Sports Management offers a close integration of theory and practice. The high-quality university qualification features a comprehensive practical orientation in the area of sports management. This includes the in-depth exploration of the most important elements of the programme in practical phases and projects. The projects are run in cooperation with our partners from organised sports: DOSB, the state sports federations of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate as well as professional associations and sports clubs.

We aim to teach students the basics of the sports system in six semesters, i.e. three years of study, by combining a high-quality academic education with practical phases in organised sports. This involves examining the interaction of sports science and sports management and supporting the personal development of the students.
The Sports Management BA programme at the RheinAhrCampus comprises a broad and well-founded basic education in Business Administration as well as its application to the sports industry. In various projects, seminars and lectures, students learn to analyse the problems of sports companies, sports clubs and sports associations and to develop practical solution strategies.
The cooperation with numerous associations, clubs and organisations from the sports system emphasises the strong link to the requirements of the labour market. Students also obtain sports club manager licenses in the programme to further improve their opportunities on the job market.
About 40% of the graduates of the study programme, which is now in its 21st year, currently have a job in organised sports, i.e. in sports clubs and sports associations. About 30% work in sports-related commercial enterprises, such as the sporting goods industry or event management. Another 30% have gone on to work for companies in other industries.
So far, all graduates have been able to find adequate jobs after completing their studies – in times when this cannot be taken for granted. This shows how precise and targeted the qualification is which students obtain at the RheinAhrCampus.
