International educational qualifications

If you have a university entrance qualification from another country, you will need to apply via the uni-assist website.

Uni-assist helps our university to verify qualifications from other countries in accordance with the assessment criteria of the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB). You can find further details and information about which documents are required on the uni-assist website.
 

The following students do not need to apply through uni-assist:

  • Students at partner universities who wish to study at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences as part of an exchange programme
  • Applicants who have passed the final assessment test of a preparatory course (Studienkolleg)
  • Applicants who already have a certificate of recognition with a specified average grade issued in Germany for educational qualifications gained abroad
  • Applicants who gained a university entrance qualification in Luxemburg

Recognised proof of German language proficiency

Please note that the language proficiency requirements differ for each study programme. You can find the German language level required for each degree programme here . Only applicants with the appropriate language level will be considered in the selection process.

Deadlines for submitting applications.

Applicants with foreign educational certificates are subject to a special application deadline.
Your complete application must have been received by Uni-Assist by the respective date.

Winter semester:

Restricted admission study programs: June 15th.
Unrestricted admission study programs: July 31st.

Summer semester:

Restricted admission study programs: December 15th.
Unrestricted admission study programs: January 31st.

Required application documents

You must submit officially certified copies of the following documents with your application: Secondary school graduation certificate(s) and any other documents that entitle you to study at a higher education institution in your home country.

  • If you have already studied at a higher education institution, you will need to include your degree certificate(s), an overview of your grades or your academic transcript.
  • Proof of your German language proficiency
  • Page of you passport which includes your personal details and photo.
  • Proof of payment for the uni-assist fee

Good to know:

  • You can find a list of all degree programmes, application deadlines and information about applying for degree programmes with restricted and open admission here.
  • You should submit your application (including all relevant documents) through the uni-assist website.
  • Once uni-assist have assessed your documents, you will receive an evaluation result.
  • Koblenz University of Applied Sciences is responsible for decisions on admissions.
