Corporate Social Responsibility

CSR - what is it?

CSR stands for „Corporate Social Responsibility“.
The IBS course decided to organize an international event at RAC for pupils of local schools im Remagen.

Participants

The students who take part in this year IBS course are simulating a company which develops a CSR project for the RAC. To achieve their goals the company of students established various departments to work on the project: e.g. a marketing department and an event management department.
Some students are taking much responsibility: They are acting as a real marketing, travel, event manager or even as a CEO to experience the real challenges and opportuinities during this project and to gain first insights in real business life.

Seminar in Izmir, Turkey

Five students have the opportunity to be a part of an international project which takes place in Izmir, Turkey from the 20th of May till the 2nd of June 2012. During this seminar they exchange their ideas with students from 11 other university from all over Europe. These five participants will represent the RAC and present their goals and achievements they have made in their simulated company and with their CSR project during the IBS course.

Further projects

All the students want to make an impact to the campus in the future. They are planning to think „green“ on campus and act ecologically. One of the ideas is to use environmental folders instead of the standard ones which are actually not recycleable.
The students are also interested in how the campus could develop in the future.
