Arrival by Air

• Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN)

At Cologne/Bonn Airport follow signs to the bus station. Find the bus stop for bus no. SB60 to Bonn Hauptbahnhof. Either buy a ticket at the machine at the bus stop or buy a ticket from the driver. Take the bus to Bonn Hauptbahnhof (Main Station). At Bonn Hauptbahnhof get off the bus and cross the street to the station opposite.

Either buy a ticket to Remagen from one of the machines or buy a ticket at the counter inside the station (there are no machines on the train or conductors selling tickets, only conductors checking that you have a ticket). Go to platform 3 and take a train direction to Koblenz via Remagen. At Remagen get off the train. Go down off the platform in the direction of platform 1.

• Duesseldorf Airport (DUS)

If you arrive at Duesseldorf International Airport, you can catch a direct local train (Regionalexpress RE5) that takes you to Remagen (destination Koblenz). 

• Frankfurt International Airport (FRA)

At Frankfurt International Airport, the train station (Fernbahnhof) is situated right in the airport building. Trains to Cologne depart regularly every hour and from there it is easy to take the local train to Remagen (Regionalexpress RE5, destination Koblenz), normally from platform 9

• Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN)

This is a small airport about 130 km away from Frankfurt. There is a bus service to Koblenz Main Station (bus number 610) which takes about 90 minutes and costs about 14 Euro one way. From Koblenz take a local train to Remagen.

How to Get to RheinAhrCampus

It’s a 20 minute walk to RheinAhrCampus from the station. Taxis are available in front of the station. There are also buses from the train station ("Remagen Bf") to our campus ("RheinAhrCampus Remagen"), but they are infrequent. You can check the respective schedules at the VRS website.

Walking to RheinAhrCampus

Leaving the station, turn right into Geschwister-Scholl-Straße, then first left (Seelenstraße), then right again into Marktstraße. Follow Marktstraße which turns into Alte Straße. Then half-left into Goethestraße, past the newly-built shopping centre. Turn right into Von-Cramm-Straße, towards the Tennis Centre, and RheinAhrCampus is right in front of you.

Arrival from the North

West of the Rhine:

At motorway junction "Bonn-Nord", change from motorway A 555 to A 565 (Koblenz direction) and follow the motorway to "Bonn-Poppelsdorf". After leaving the motorway, follow the road for about 2km. You will automatically be directed to the federal highway B9, direction Remagen/Koblenz. In Remagen, the way to RheinAhrCampus is signposted ("Fachhochschule").

East of the Rhine:

At motorway junction "Bonn-Ost", change from motorway A 59 to motorway A 562 (Bonn direction). Leave A 562 at the exit labelled "Rheinaue". Then turn left (Plittersdorf direction). Follow the road for about 2 km. You will then reach the junction to the federal highway B9. Follow the road (direction Remagen/Koblenz). In Remagen, the way to RheinAhrCampus is signposted ("Fachhochschule").

Arrival from the South

West of the Rhine:

At motorway junction "Koblenz" change from motorway A 61 to motorway A 48 (direction "Höhr-Grenzhausen/Montabaur"). At the exit "Koblenz-Nord", change to the federal highway B9, direction Remagen/Koblenz. In Remagen, the way to RheinAhrCampus is signposted ("Fachhochschule").

East of the Rhine:

At motorway intersection "Dernbach", change from motorway A 3 to motorway A 48 (Koblenz direction). At the exit "Koblenz Nord", change to federal highway B9, direction Remagen/Koblenz. In Remagen, the way to RheinAhrCampus is signposted ("Fachhochschule").
