The following professorship is to be filled in the department of bauen-kunst-werkstoffe at the location Höhr-Grenzhausen as soon as possible:

Professor (f/m/d)
for glass and glass technology
(Base Salary: W 2)

Part-time employment is possible.

Your tasks:
•    Representation of teaching (in German and English) in the subject areas glass and glass technolo-gy and the study programmes BA Materials Engineering Glass and Ceramics (undergraduate/dual) and MA Ceramic Science and Engineering.
•    Establishment of a research profile in the field of glass and glass technology as well as national and international research activities incl. publications
•    Networking with regional stakeholders (companies, associations, etc.), especially with reference to glass and glass technology
•    Participation in academic self-administration

Your profile:
•    Professional expertise in the teaching area glass and glass technology
•    Several years of relevant professional experience in the field of glass and glass technology, ideally leadership experience
•    Enthusiasm for working with young people and their development
•    Openness for the further development and implementation of innovative teaching concepts
•    Openness to taking on new teaching content within the framework of the long-term, strategic and, if necessary, interdisciplinary further development of the range of courses offered as well as the adoption of basic subjects of the natural sciences
•    High social competence in dealing with students, colleagues and employees
•    Good German and English skills (minimum C1-level)

The hiring requirements for professorships result from § 49 of the Higher Education Act of Rhineland-Palatinate (HochSchG).
