The following professorship is to be filled in the department building-art-materials at the location Koblenz as soon as possible:

Professor (f/m/d) for

Watercourse engineering and Hydromorphology

(Base Salary: W 2)

Part-time employment is possible.

Your tasks

• Representation of teaching (in German and English) in the subject areas
  watercourse engineering, hydrology and hydro-geomorphology and the study programmes Hydrology and Water Resources Managementand Civil Engineering
• Establishment of a research profile as well as national and international research activities incl. publications
• Networking with regional stakeholders (companies, associations, etc.)
• Participation in academic self-administration

Your profile:

• Professional expertise in the teaching area
• Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally leadership experience
• Enthusiasm for working with young people and their development
• Openness for the further development and implementation of innovative teaching concepts
• Openness to taking on new teaching content within the framework of the long-term, strategic and, if necessary, interdisciplinary further development of the range of courses offered
• High social competence in dealing with students, colleagues and employees
• Good German and English skills (minimum C1-level)

The hiring requirements for professorships result from § 49 of the Higher Education Act of Rhineland-Palatinate (HochSchG).
